From an early age, Caitlin Thigpen has been immersed in the world of art. While painting was her first love, being curious and exploratory has led her to mixed media, textiles, encaustic, jewelry making, and graphic design to name a few.
Caitlin attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and graduated from Georgia State University with a BA in Studio Art. Showcasing her own work at art festivals and working in galleries has lead her to the classroom once again, this time as a teacher. Armed with years of experience and compulsion to help others find an expressive outlet in artistic form, she has taught classes at varying studios and schools.
Caitlin lives in Clarkston, GA with her husband Chris and their fur family consisting a dog and 3 cats. With work completed in her art studio at home, Caitlin hopes to focus on her own artistic development while teaching and helping others refine and define their own creative expression.
